Oftentimes a woman's breasts change over time. This can occur from numerous factors including gravity and aging weight fluctuations breast-feeding pregnancy and sometimes from congenital birth defects as well. Mastopexy is intended to help to correct some of these problems.
The technique known as a Donut Mastopexy is just one of the many techniques that can be used to remove excess skin or to tighten the surrounding tissue and reshape the breast. Leaving you with a new, more favorable breast contour. Sometimes, over the course of time these fluctuations cause the breast nipple-areolar complex to become thin, effaced or larger than it should be. A breast lift or mastopexy will help address these concerns.
The Donut Mastopexy is utilized to correct and move the nipple up a small amount. Reducing the amount of incisions by isolating the incision to directly around the nipple-areolar complex, and sometimes extending to a small vertical arm on the breast.
Enabling the incision to be much smaller in length than the normal Vertical Mastopexy. The technique is best utilized for ladies that have very little droop of the breast but need to have the nipple-areolar complex elevated just slightly. Forming a fresh appearance to the breast. Ranging anywhere from 1 to 3cm of lift.
The Donut Mastopexy cannot be utilized for nipples fall below the base of the breast or more than 3 cm below the desired position of the nipple. For women wishing to undergo a procedure the Donut Mastopexy is quite safe and allows for incisions that are usually quite minimal, and favorable to healing.
